By a thread that winds

Through our lives and binds

The beginning to the end

Like a length of string

Seems a slender thing

Upon which our lives depend

By a thread that's spooled

From the source that ruled

Long before our day on earth

From the mighty throne

Where events are sewn

To unravel with our birth

By a thread that runs

Throughout everyone's

Whole existence ‘till it breaks

We see loops and lines

Fickle fate designs

And the twists and turns it takes

By a thread to stitch

Each occurrence which

Forms the fabric of our day

Our Creator sews

Us the sort of clothes

Our immortal souls’ display
